About Me
Matthew Harris, M.D. is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in Chronic and Interventional Pain Management. He was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from high school as Valedictorian of his senior class. From there, Dr. Harris attended California State University, Long Beach on a full academic scholarship as a President’s Scholar where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then pursued his medical doctorate degree at the University of Southern California where he decided on the specialty of anesthesiology.
Dr. Harris continued his training at the University of California Irvine, where he completed his Residency in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. He was appointed Chief Anesthesiology Resident in his last year of training and was the recipient of the Departmental Academic Award 2008-2009. Dr. Harris has always been interested in the subspecialty of Pain Management, completing an ACGME accredited Chronic and Interventional Pain Management fellowship at the University of Utah, in the department of Anesthesiology. There he was able to fine tune his skills and become proficient in all interventional procedures as well as multi-disciplinary chronic pain management.
