About Me
Caroline G. Choan, M.D. was born in Boston, but raised in Los Angeles.
While working toward her B.S. degree in Biology at UCLA, she worked as the pathology department's research and autopsy assistant at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for four years.
Dr. Choan received her M.D. from New York Medical College, then returned to L.A. to complete her internship in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Her neurology residency was completed at LA County-Harbor-UCLA Hospital in Torrance.
Dr. Choan remained at Harbor-UCLA for her fellowship in neurophysiology, which included pediatric and adult electroencephalography, electromyography, and brainstem auditory, visual, and somatosensory evoked potential interpretation.
Dr. Choan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Choan began private practice in 1994, and she has special interests in headache, pain, and neuromuscular disease.
Dr. Choan is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society.
Aside from good parenting, Dr. Choan enjoys her hobbies of gourmet cooking, home improvement, and traveling. She and her family reside in South Orange County.
