About Me
Anna Acosta, M.D., is the pediatric hand and upper extremity specialist at the Orthopedic Center at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. With fellowships in both pediatric orthopedics and orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery, Dr. Acosta has brought a new sub-specialty to the Tichenor Lowman Miller Medical Group Pediatric Orthopedic Group.
She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed her residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. She trained at Seattle Children’s Hospital through the University of Washington and at Loyola University Medical Center for her fellowships.
Dr. Acosta is a part of the Tichenor Lowman Miller Medical Group. Her practice focuses on pediatric hand and upper extremity care but she also covers all pediatric orthopedic injuries and disorders.
Her special interests include upper and lower extremity congenital deformity. As she trained under two of the great names in pediatric hand and foot deformity, Drs. Terry Light and Vincent Mosca, treating children with congenital deformities of all ranges has become her passion. She also holds special interests in brachial plexus injuries and spasticity of the upper extremity. She trained at high volume trauma centers for residency and both fellowships, and is well versed in treatment of traumatic injury to the upper extremity. She also is trained in microsurgery and wrist arthroscopy.
