About Me
Dr. Zhang earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard, his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his radiation oncology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. His journey into the field was inspired by his mentor during medical school, whose compassionate care and unwavering support for patients deeply resonated with him.
Dr. Zhang’s areas of clinical expertise and interest include HDR brachytherapy, breast cancer, GI cancers, and radiosurgery – with the goal of offering individually tailored cancer care to maximize cancer control rates, reduce side effects of treatment, and improve the quality of life for patients.
Dr. Zhang values his relationships with his patients and advocates for their health through patient education, driven by a profound desire to offer hope and healing to individuals battling cancer.
Recognizing the fear and uncertainty that often accompany a cancer diagnosis, I take pride in offering reassurance and guidance, emphasizing to my patients the potential for successful treatment and recovery. I am committed to treating every patient as my own family, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care and compassion.
Dr. Zhang was born and raised in New Jersey and is fluent in Mandarin. Outside of medicine, he enjoys exploring new culinary experiences with his family and playing golf.
